Leaks permanently prevented, thanks to Plygene® Gutterline system.
Water ingress was a major issue for the Real Petfood Company. Guaranteed leak prevention and improved roof drainage was critical to the operation of the business.
The roof was overclad and the Plygene Gutterline system specified to refurbish the gutters. Main contractor WHL Building Services selected the Plygene Gutterline system because it is ‘engineered specifically for the gutter environment’ and offers a 25 year guarantee. The system is bespoke manufactured “off site” to reduce labour time and minimise site disruption.
The system is non-bonded, removing the need for extensive remedial cleaning prior to installation and designed to eliminate joints failing and further corrosion of the existing gutter.
Designing out these points of failure extends the performance integrity of the existing gutters, providing permanent and guaranteed leak prevention.
Sharmans were involved at every stage of the scheme, from initial site surveys and drainage calculations to installation and project sign-off.
Technical Director Steve Cookson commented on the installation, saying:
