Training & Support
Working with you the contractor
Correct installation methodologies prescribed by Sharmans are critical to the lifetime performance of our gutter and roof refurbishment systems. Our Approved Expert Contractor Network receives comprehensive installation training and our national network of Technical Services Managers and Technical Support Centre provide full support on all site activity from initial survey through to installation and guarantee request. Moreover, a programme of site inspections and/or audits is applied on all projects as a prerequisite to release the system guarantees.
At Sharmans we pride ourselves on providing the highest level of technical information and customer support to our Approved Contractor partners. We provide a suite of sales support tools including samples, specifications, marketing materials and training programmes.
Purpose Built Training Centre
We have a purpose built training facility at our head office in Derbyshire. Contractors learn from our experienced Training team about key system components and the installation methods required to secure the system’s guarantee. Training programmes include a blended and interactive programme:
- A review of the key system gutter and roof profiles
- Hands-on practical application and fitting skills using purpose built demonstration rigs
- Hot air gutter welding techniques for bespoke moulded components

Great Bear Distribution Limited
Gutter leaks at the Great Bear storage warehouse were in need of repair and a successful refurbishment of the gutter system would go a long way to attract new customers looking for safe storage in a Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) regulated establishment.
